Dalmeny to Narooma
10 km (1523 km) 3 hr
A shortish, but delightful saunter to complete Stage 13 today. Started off with a grand sunrise at Yabbarah Point followed by a stroll along the beach and then around the serrated rockshelf of Duesbury Point to Duesbury Beach.
Headed back to the wonderful Dalmeny-Narooma pathway to walk to Kianga Beach then Dolphin Rock.
No dolphins playing near their rocky cousin today, so it was down to Mill Bay up to Carters Headland, Bar Beach and then Dolphin Lookout at the northern edge of the Narooma River Breakwall.
Next was the superb Mill Bay Boardwalk which winds from the mouth of the river to the bridge - just a perfect boardwalk, as they always are.
I've noted before how I love to end a stage with a bridge crossing, and the old school bridge across the Narooma River is a cracker!
Finally it was along the southern side of the river out to the Southern Narooma Breakwall for a squizz at Australia Rock and a bit of time enjoying the seals soaking up the winter sunshine.
This has been a brilliant stage - made even better by the blue skies and sunny weather the whole way. Every day was an absolute pleasure and the Munjip and Bingie Dreaming tracks make it a pretty straightforward section of the coast.
Can't wait for Stage 14 in a few weeks time but meanwhile may all your moments be full of enthusiasm and all your choices prove to be wise...
